Choropleth Map

The above map is a portrayal of the percent of persons who are of Hispanic and Latino decent in South Florida in 2000 as presented in the data collected by the US Census Bureau.  This map is relevant as South Florida is where I intend to get a job and live for a large portion of my life.  The above map is also known as Choropleth Map.  A choropleth map is a type of thematic map.  Again, thematic maps show only one specific set of data as for example ethnicity or race in a certain area, or education or income in a specific area.
