Dot Distribution Map

The above image is a portrayal of the distribution of racial and ethnic groups in the Fort Lauderdale/ Plantation area.  In this map I find it very easy to see the difference or even lack there of of race in certain areas.  For example, from this map you can easily see that in Lauderhill the majority of the population is black, while in places like Pine Island the majority of people are white.  This map is an example of a dot distribution map.  These maps portray specific data of a specific place in a more readable and understandable way than just reading lists of numbers.
