Isopleths are very similar to the contouring lines found on
a contour map, and are therefore found also on isoline maps like isohyets and
isotachs . Isopleths are lines on
a map or diagram connecting points for which a chosen quantity has the same
value. Isopleths are often found is
geography and earth science. The
above map shows isopleths of snowfall for Deep South Texas and the Lower Rio
Grande Valley.
